How Much Electricity Can We Generate?

• The PV tiles and wind turbine can generate up to 3.17 kW maximum.
• The actual output will be much less depending on the amount of sunshine, daylight and wind in a given period.
• We estimate that we could generate about 2,000 units in a full year, 1300 to 1600 units without the wind turbine (which is yet to be installed).
• At 10.50 am on 30th March 2007 our solar roof was connected and started generating immediately.
• In the first year to 31st March 2008 we generated 1,347 kWh (units), around 60% of our annual electricity consumption.
• Look at the meter below to check the grand total of units produced to date.
• Most of what we produced has been exported to the network.
