A Treasure Hunt for the Children's Group, held on Saturday 25th June.
This was a very enjoyable intergenerational afternoon activity for children, parents and grandparents.>
We met for a picnic lunch at church before driving to Ropner Park armed with a sheet of clues and things to find. The younger children had picture clues to help them in their search and we all had a deadline to meet at the cafe with the results of our hunt. The children loved the fact that a good number of the clues were centred on the play area! For some of us who were not brought up in Stockton, it was a treat to enjoy the delights of a traditional park similar to those we had known elsewhere in our youth.
Thanks to Margaret Robinson and grand-daughter Jessica for working so hard preparing and leading the Treasure Hunt. Something to be repeated next summer, by popular request.
